Isdaan Restaurant (Calauan, Laguna)

Have you been to that “taksiyapo”or “isdaan” restaurant in Gerona, Tarlac? That one of a kind restaurant where you can de-stress and smash your anger, angst, frustrations, or anything negative by throwing plates and other items in their “taksiyapo” wall and feast in their delicacies while in the middle of a lagoon full of colorful koi? Yes, I have been there.

Now, that famous restaurant has a branch in the South!

While we were cruising the Laguna National Highway, we passed by their newly-opened branch located in Calauan.  Below are some photos to give you a glimpse of the restaurant owned and operated by the familiar Barrio Fiesta.

How to get there? Take the Calamba Exit from the SLEX and traverse the national highway from Los Banos Laguna all the way to Calauan and Victoria. The restaurant is visible from the highway.

Isdaan restaurant is one good option to visit with friends, relatives and those who came abroad. It is like being in Thailand within a Chinese garden, a touch of Disneyland coupled with an array of Filipino dishes. It is one good place to take pictures and savor the best Pinoy food.

The ambiance is enormously imaginative! The restaurant is adorned with gigantic sculptures creating a feeling of being in Bangkok or in other Asian countries.

A very huge sculpture reminiscent of the great King Kong greets guests of the restaurant.

Guests can enjoy a boat ride traveling the whole expanse of the restaurant after savoring those great dishes at affordable prices. And even Barack enjoys the dishes served here...

Isdaan Restaurant in Laguna is indeed worth visiting. I am sure that everyone would not only love its gastronomical delights but the place as well.
