Janely Resort (Real, Quezon)

One Good Resort in Real

If you are in Real, Quezon and you feel that camping, just like what is offered primarily by the Pacific Kamp Resort is not what you like at the moment, one good option is the "Janely Resort".

There are several beach resorts in Real, Quezon. The traveler can choose from different resorts, all of which are affordably priced.  Among others, there is the Ocean Blue Resort, Imperial Beach Resort and the Club Manila East Pacific Resort.  With the spur of the moment travel to Real, there is still a great chance of having affordable and convenient accommodation. Yet, it is always best to make a reservation, especially during the peak season.

In Janely Resort, a room ranges from a minimum of P 1500.00. There are rooms fit for several occupants.  There is a room even for the whole family.  The rooms are well-built and clean.  It has a comfort room and air conditioning. But, do not expect those usual amenities found in high-end hotels. For the price, Janely Resort is practical and budget friendly.

The resort has a beachfront. The caretaker or staff told us that there is a portion of the beach that is good for swimming.  Yet, I would recommend to those who wish to surf, frolic at the beach or those who would like to swim to visit the Pacific Recreation Kamp (PaRK) or head to the Balagbag Falls.

If due to the weather or for whatever reason forbids a trip to the PaRK or to the falls, you can still enjoy swimming at the resort's pool.

Janely resort is good for an overnight stay. It feels more secure compared to other resorts in the area. But, there is no restaurant at this resort. What they have is a small store where guests can purchase snacks, bottled water, and soda.

A Cleaner Market

Without a restaurant, visitors can either head to the town proper of Real. But even in Real's town proper, there are no fast food chains usually found in Manila.  The better alternative is to head back to that market before reaching Janely Resort. Here, there is an array of fresh seafood to choose from and have it cooked to your desire. For an additional fee, of course.

What I noticed about the market here in Real is that vendors cover their products with styrofoam. Usually, I see fish, meat and poultry products in the market exposed to the elements. Here,  fish products are kept in styrofoam boxes. It is cleaner as there are fewer flies in the area.

For the environment's sake, however, please dispose of that styrofoam properly. Perhaps, Real should also ban the use of plastic just like in other cities in Metro Manila.
