Palm Plaza Hotel (Malate, Manila)

526 Pedro Gil cor M. Adriatico St., Malate, Manila,
Metro Manila, Philippines 1004, Philippines

One very good advantage of Palm Plaza Hotel is its location. Being at the heart of “Malate area” means that you are in the vicinity of or in close proximity with everything there is in Malate, Manila. I think you know what I mean.

Palm Plaza's Superior Room. We had a good night sleep -
the sheets were clean and the aircon was quite new.

We stayed for two (2) nights at this hotel.  The staff was accommodating, as all staff in a hotel are expected to be.  Aside from a smiling front desk, this hotel has the following plus points: (1) again its location – the hotel is near with almost everything – a mall, fast food chains, money changers, travel agencies, spa (the Ritz Spa), bank, restaurants, clubs and bars (plenty of them), and the Manila Bay; Palm Plaza Hotel is a block away from Robinsons Mall and barring traffic is just five minutes away from the Aurora Quezon Elementary School. (2) price – at P 2,500.00 a night for a superior room, this hotel is relatively okay; (3) the hotel is clean; and (4) has unlimited and reliable Wi-Fi.

View from the 8th floor of the hotel. A block away is
Robinsons Mall and Eurotel.

One disadvantage of this hotel, however, is the parking. Unlike in other hotels where you can park your car in the basement, the parking is located at its sister hotel (Hostel 1632) situated around 100 meters from Palm Plaza. Though you are already a “guest”, you are still required to pay a P 150.00 parking fee per day.  Another is that we still have to request for shampoo and slippers

While we stayed at the 8th floor, sounds from the clubs and bars below can still be heard, a testament that if you long for the nightlife, this hotel brings you in the middle of everything. If you desire peace and quiet however get a higher floor.
