Our Manila Bay Dining Cruise experience could have been much better without the foul smell from Manila Bay. I had been hearing about this cruise and when Metrodeal offered a discount, we decided to grab the opportunity.

We took the 8 – 9 pm slot to ensure that we arrive at the Mall of Asia Ferry Terminal by 7.30 pm boarding time taking into account the traffic.  We were at the ferry a few minutes before 7 and we, unfortunately, missed the sunset. The visible hues and colors of the sky, however, are still visible and I can imagine the beauty of Manila Bay before this area has been turned into Metro Manila’s trash basin.

The buffet area is at the lowest part of the cruiser and there is an additional P100.00 fee if you desire to be at the upper deck. I think the most ideal place is at the second deck where there is live entertainment and away from the lingering stench and smell of Manila Bay. 

The cruise lasted for an hour going around the Mall of Asia and Solaire Resorts giving a glimpse of the shopping and entertainment areas along Manila Bay. The buffet, however, went below our expectations. 

I really hope that serious efforts are made to save Manila Bay...
