Punta De Fabian (Baras, Rizal)

It took us less than two (2) hours to reach this resort from our house in Pasay City. Unexpectedly, heavy traffic from the stretch of C5 and Ortigas Avenue Extension has disappeared.  Usually, there is monstrous traffic in Ortigas Extension all the way to the junction in Taytay, Rizal. That Saturday however the drive was a breeze.

When I called to make a reservation,  an accommodating voice answered the phone. At that moment, I already had a feeling that spending our much awaited weekend at Punta De Fabian is a good decision.

The centerpiece of this resort is its infinity pool. The water is cold but I really cannot leave without taking a swim. At night, the pool’s water is almost freezing but it did not deter some guests to play and enjoy what Punta De Fabian can offer. By just lounging at the poolside with a cup of coffee and enjoying the ambiance of this resort is enough for a very relaxing vacation. 

The resort is located on top of a hill overlooking the Laguna De Bay. With its location, the place is perfect for relaxation and contemplation. While looking at the vastness of Laguna De Bay, thinking about life or practically everything is easy. Your mind seems to get carried by the limitless horizon.  On top of this resort, everything feels to be your own and within reach. I think this is the feeling when someone conquers a mountain.

The air at Punta De Fabian is fresh and crisp. I can sit all day in one of the cottage’s terraces overlooking the lake and the rice fields. I really like the cold fresh air and the awesome view at this resort. Seeing the expanse of the Laguna De Bay made me appreciate this bay even more. 

But why is it that time seems to fly when you're having fun? After a set breakfast, we knew it is time to leave. However, since we enjoyed our stay we promised to come back and enjoy again Punta De Fabian.
