Better Move: Bike to Work
I really feel a big difference when I commute or drive myself to work compared to when I bike to work. Given the notorious and unpredictable traffic, biking to work is usually a much better and more practical option. Biking to work is like getting more out of life. Instead of being stuck in traffic for hours, riding a bicycle to work allows you to sneak in that much-needed exercise.
We know that regular exercise is necessary for our well-being and good health. But, if you work for eight (8) hours every day, finding the time to exercise is almost impossible. The daily grind of working in an office does not give us enough time to exercise. To be able to do so demands a lot of effort.
One of the best ways of being able to exercise daily is to wake up early and cycle to work. Instead of driving yourself to work, why not consider biking which is a more practical option. You can beat traffic and at the same time be a much happier person.
To address the traffic problem that has been hounding us for years, it is about time that we take a serious look at encouraging biking to work as a more practical and environment-friendly form of transportation. A bicycle is also much easier and more inexpensive to maintain compared to a motorcycle or a car.
One of the better moves make to encourage biking to work is to make our roads and streets safer for cyclists. There should be more tangible and well-implemented projects that would encourage more people to ride their bikes to work. Safety in using bicycles is the main concern of most people why they are reluctant to use their bicycles to work. Instead of the more costly infrastructures for private vehicles why not opt for more bicycle lanes and strictly implement those laws and regulations geared towards the safety of cyclists.
Whenever I bike to work, I noticed feeling better. I do not feel sluggish and I do not need coffee to perk me up. The sweat, the adrenalin, and the endorphins I got from cycling to work are more than enough to make me more productive. This proves studies that those who bike to work are happier and tend to be more productive compared to those who commute or drive themselves to work.
