Perhaps no hotel in Tagaytay City can rival Taal Vista Hotel. And a "staycation" in Tagaytay City is not complete if you have not stayed in this hotel. This hotel, founded in 1939 can be considered as one of the oldest hotels in the city.

Displayed along its hallways are old photos constantly reminiscing the past. One photo shows how during the good old day's, visitors of this hotel were stunned by the magnificent view of the Taal Volcano. Indeed, one of the advantages of this hotel is its spectacular view of the Taal Volcano.  Of course, there are other places in Tagaytay that offers a view of this famous volcano, yet somehow Taal Vista’s view of the volcano is enigmatically different.

Our room was adjacent to the SkyRanch and we can see the breathtaking Tagaytay Eye ("Ferris’ Wheel")  that seems to have dominated the skyline as I looked at the window. As this hotel is just a walking distance from this amusement park,  it would be very convenient for parents to bring their children to SkyRanch.

I had a very relaxing sleep at this hotel. The bed, the air conditioning and the view are perfect.  It has a complete array of bathroom amenities.  There is a hot and cold shower and our room is conspicuously clean. 

Taal Vista has a very inviting pool amidst a beautiful garden. We never had the chance to take a dip given our very hectic schedule. But the stunning view, the ambiance at this hotel coupled with the cool and crisp weather is more than enough for an unforgettable stay in Tagaytay City.
