Another Great Time in Tagaytay

Lee Boutique Hotel
This weekend, I again visited Tagaytay.  As I said, usually whenever I want a quick getaway Tagaytay is an awesome choice. Using the Agoda app, I booked an overnight stay at Lee Boutique Hotel. The hotel has nice parking in front just beside the road and in other areas. Thus, parking is really not an issue. Lee Boutique has that medieval feel and fairly clean rooms. There is a swimming pool where guests can test their tolerance of the low temperature amidst the very cold Tagaytay breeze. There is a view of the Taal Volcano, not that spectacular, because of the distance of the hotel.

What is really great about Tagaytay is its cool and crisp mountain air. The cool breeze is much more evident along the ridge and during the months before Christmas. I often see a lot of visitors and travelers in Tagaytay during the month of December. On the way to Tagaytay, a side trip that should not be missed is Good Shepherd's  "Bahay Pastulan". Their Ube jam and other products are must buy for anyone. I crave for the "Ube Dimples" - those small and round jams with just the right sweetness!

Another thing I do not want to miss in Tagaytay is the mushroom burger - the best alternative to the usual meat burger. It is good to know that they already have a branch along Katipunan in Quezon City. A trip to Tagaytay will not be complete without taking the time to try this cruelty-free burger. Once you make the connection on how a "meat burger" came to be, you will long for this mushroom burger that is healthier, tastier and cooked with compassion.

I also revisited Nurture Wellness Village to get that wonderful feeling of being surrounded by flowers and lush vegetation. I hope that in the future, they would include more vegan options on their menu. The growing number of vegans and vegetarians will definitely appreciate it if there are more vegetables or plant-based food available at their restaurant.

Tagaytay, just like Baguio, is in a race against rampant development. Every time I travel to this place, I can see new concrete structures being built. There is really nothing wrong in developing a place provided that nature is not compromised. It is the scenic view and the natural surroundings that lure travelers to Tagaytay. Any form of development should take into consideration what nature has given us.
