Must See Sculptures By Jose Rizal


Jose Rizal, the National Hero of the Philippines, is not only a Chess Player. He also created the following thought-provoking and must-see sculptures displayed in the National Museum -

(1) St. Paul the Hermit


The inscription around the base and at one side is in Latin and translated in English and reads:
ST. PAUL THE FIRS HERMIT/MOST SINCERELY OFFERED BY JOSE RIZAL TO
FR. PABLO PASTELLS, SUPERIOR OF THE PHILIPPINE MISSION OF THE SOCIETY OF JESUS
DAPITAN/JANUARY 15/1893 
(2) A Mother's Revenge

Declared as a National Cultural Treasure by the National Museum in 2008
