Estancia Resort Hotel is a more realistic and practical way to experience Santorini. But, instead of the Aegean Sea, a view of the Taal Lake and the famous Volcano is what you will see.

Estancia Resort Hotel is a great choice if your main reason for going to Tagaytay is to get some peace and quiet. Its location is far away from loud entertainment areas. Their "Santorini Rooms"  with a veranda has a very relaxing view of the lake or a forested area.

An elevator takes you down to where you check-in or register. It's a Greek-designed lobby, with a decorative fountain near the Hotel's Restaurant. My impression is that Estancia Resort Hotel is in need of renovation. The floor tiles and the walls made of glass reveal how old the hotel is. 

The hotel has a sprawling garden with a swimming pool said to be more than six feet deep. To reach the "Santorini Area" of the resort, we rode a small vehicle wanting repairs. After, a short ride, we finally made it to our suite.

The suite room is in need of renovation or upgrades. But, after I communicated some of my observations, the staff accommodated our request to transfer to another suite. Despite, the initial inconvenience, I enjoyed my stay at this hotel. It was not that bad after all.

The hotel is ideal if, in the meantime, you intend to be far from the rest. Good thing that Starbucks is just a walk away.
